Elgin Cutler is serving his second term as Chief of Witset First Nation. He is Unist'ot'en and a member of the Dark House of the Gilseyhu (Big Frog) Clan of the Wet'suwet'en Nation. Elgin is seen as approachable and understanding, and he is respected as a leader that prioritizes community wellness, healing, economic development and transparent governance. He has been instrumental in bringing Hereditary and Elected Leaders together for equity partnerships for both the North Coast Transmission Line and Klo Wind Projects. Chief Cutler’s clear, thoughtful voice makes him a “go-to-leader” for brokering important negotiations between Nations, government and industry.
