Nate Corcoran is the Northwestern Regional Geologist for the BC
Geological Survey here in Smithers. He is an exploration geoscientist with over
twelve years of mineral exploration and mining experience. He joined the
BCGS in 2021, previous to that he has worked in gold and iron ore exploration,
and has several years experience in geophysics. Nate also has a background in
GIS software and database management. He sits on the board for Minerals
North and is an active member of the Smithers Exploration Group. He is
originally from the east coast of Canada. When he isn’t out looking at
geology or talking about rocks you can find him out in the mountains on his
bike or snowboard.
