Mayor - Town of Smithers

Gladys is a lifelong Smithereen and Smithers champion. She was elected to Council in 2014 and has been Mayor since 2020. She has a strong sense of community service, dedication to good governance and fostering respectful relationships motivates her in local government work. Gladys participates in many local government boards, including the Regional District of Bulkley Nechako (RBDN), the Northwest Regional Hospital District, the North Central Local Government Association (NCLGA) and BC Transit, just to name a few!
