Connor Pritty joined the Tahltan Central Government as the Lands and Regulatory Affairs Director in 2022. Prior to joining TCG, Connor served as the Lands, Resources, and Stewardship Director for both Lax Kw’alaams First Nation and Long Lake #58 First Nation. He also worked as a land development consultant in Ontario before relocating to British Columbia.
Connor holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Management from York University and a Master’s degree in Water Resource Engineering from the University of Western Ontario. Throughout his career, he has focused on building lands and resource governance and regulatory capacity for Indigenous Nations and communities.
He is deeply passionate about ensuring that natural resource development protects the values of the land, delivers positive benefits for local communities, and aligns with Nation-led environmental assessment processes. His work emphasizes holistic assessment approaches that weave together Indigenous Knowledge and worldviews with western science within consent-based decision-making frameworks.
