Curious about what is required to host a Minerals Conference & Trade Show? Delegates are invited to attend a breakout session at the West Fraser Centre on June 1, held by the Minerals North Conference Association (MNCA). Eligible entities for hosting include local governments, First Nation governments, chambers of commerce and economic development agencies. Even if one is from a small community, MNCA is willing to explore the feasibility of staging this annual event in your community.
MNCA is a small society which awards the conference and provides support to the host committee in delivering the event. Society directors come from the minerals sector, local government, First Nation organizations and suppliers. If you are interested in seeing this important northern BC event continue and open to assisting or joining our Board, feel free to attend the Quesnel breakout session or let us know through minerals@mineralsnorth.ca.
See the Preliminary Agenda. The program full of a wealth of knowledge and experience that will be represented by Osisko, Artemis, Taseko, Giga Metals, Imperial Metals, AME (Association for Mineral Exploration), Geoscience BC, and BC Mineral Development Office. Speakers from these organizations will lead plenary and breakout sessions. We’re excited for what the weekend will hold! The festivities begin with the Welcome Reception held outdoors in the Hosting Precinct, please dress accordingly.
The fun starts before the conference begins! Join one of the pre-conference activities. The Gibraltar Mine tour is now full! There is still room for the tour of the Cariboo Gold Project; with a stop at Barkerville Historical Site. You may also choose to stay close to town with an afternoon of golf at Richbar Golf Course.
